This would have been a place of considerable activity in the late 1800's and there is evidence of mining over a wide area. There is an information board and a number of waymarkers advising on the industrial archeology. Follow the track through the mine workings. Where the track forks take the right hand track eventually passing through gate and down hill to meet Hebden Beck. Turn right to walk alongside Hebden Beck for a mile to the bridge at Hole Bottom. Then follow the minor road to Hebden village to meet the main Grassington to Pateley Bridge road. The Clarendon Hotel is worth a visit.
