Walk up Main Street to Town Hall and turn left along the narrow street. After 300m take 2nd minor turn on right following walled track. At the top keep to the right to enter long narrow field. At the top of field passing through a stile the path goes diagonally right across four fields in succession. Pass to the left of Bare House and immediately turn right passing to the left of High Barn and along a track for a few yards. Turn right into a walled tack and continue to meet Old Moor Lane at Yarnbury Turn right along the lane for 50m and then left through the gate opposite Yarnbury House. This would have been a place of considerable activity in the late 1800's and there is evidence of mining over a wide area. There is an information board and a number of waymarkers advising on the industrial archeology. Follow the track through the mine workings. Where the track forks take the right hand track eventually passing through gate and down hill to meet Hebden Beck. Turn right to walk alongside Hebden Beck for a mile to the bridge at Hole Bottom. Then follow the minor road to Hebden village to meet the main Grassington to Pateley Bridge road. The Clarendon Hotel is worth a visit.

Turn left along the main road to cross Hebden Beck and immediately turn right along a track down to the waters edge. Pass over a footbridge and proceed to the right of the beck passing a fish farm ad then another footbridge. The path descends through some trees to the rear of Mill Bridge. Turn right along the lane for 50m and then left to meet the River Wharfe emerging at Hebden Suspension Bridge. Do not cross the bridge but turn right to follow the right hand river bank. This deviates onto a farm access track briefly to regain he river bank and Linton Falls. From Linton Falls turn right up the walled path to emerge at Grassington car park.

There are various amenities in Grassington including several pubs and cafes. Buses leave from the carpark outside the national park centre.

Note:- a short cut can be taken from Hebden saving 1.5 miles - walk past the Clarendon Hotel and a haulage yard. Take 2nd signposted path on right to Grassington - easy to follow!
