Upper WharfedaleTo contents The quintessential Yorkshire
Dale and probably the most frequented area to the north of Grassington
including the villages of Kettlewell, Starbotton, Buckden, Arncliffe and
Litton. Upper Wharfedale includes Langstrothdale and Littondale for these
purposes. Undoubtedly, this is one of the best walking areas in the Dales
with over touristed areas such as Kettlewell but some surprisingly
under-walked areas to be found. See Lower
Wharfedale as a separate page which includes the area of Grassington
and to the south. Please Click Here and e mail a short message together with any comments or suggestions!
Map reading is essential for these walks. Relevant maps are OS Outdoor Leisure 2 Southern & Western areas (double sided map) and Outdoor Leisure 30 Northern & Central areas (double sided) There are several bus services in Wharfedale. See below for details.
Important note:- Whilst the author has taken every care in assembling the information on this site, no responsibility can be accepted for any error or omission herein.
